Glasform specialise in collectable Art Glass designed by John Ditchfield and created by his company Glasform in Lancashire, England. This company was started in 1982. This is a glass product that has been created from being decorated, blown and shaped from molten glass. John's influence and inspiration in his work has come from the Tiffany Glass Collection at the Howarth Art Gallery. Glasform manufactures products for Retail Giftware, Lighting and Architectural markets. Glasform products are exported to many countries around the world including Japan, USA, Germany and Singapore and have sold in such prestigious stores as Harrods, Libertys, Selfridges and Neiman Marcus. John Ditchfield artwork appears regularly on the Foxtel lifestyle program "Bargain Hunt". There are three ranges within Glasform. Firstly the John Ditchfield Unique Collection which comprises pieces made by John himself, that are signed and numbered. The second range is the Glasform Gallery Collection. These pieces are signed, and although designed and originally made by John, they are not necessarily made by him now. The frog discs, frogs and landscapes form part of this collection along with medium fruit and mushrooms with sterling silver. The third and final range is the Glasform Studio Collection featuring reproduced pieces, which are not usually signed. The range includes fruit and mushrooms without silver, fish and ducks. All pieces have a registered Glasform Sticker attached to the base to validate and guarantee originality. As all pieces are hand made, they may vary in size and colour. |
